Country Inn and RestaurantThe Huntington House Inn, built in 1806, was originally the home and offices of four generations of Doctors Huntington. The McKernon Groups restoration maintained the dwellings historic integrity while transforming it into the perfect Vermont Country Inn and Tavern that offers a mingling of modern amenities with the charm of those bygone days. Chef John Hamiltons food is quite simply superb. In warm months, dine on the veranda and enjoy the ambience of the Rochester Town Park and stunning mountain views. For wintertime, the inn is located halfway between Sugarbush and Killington.
Stockbridge Town OfficesAs General Contractors on the new Stockbridge, Vermont Town Offices, The McKernon Group built an energy efficient structure that houses the town clerk and the relocated town records vault. The structure includes several offices, a reception area and ADA accessible bathrooms.
Commercial Building RennovationThe Forest Building at Park Village in Brandon was meticulously restored by The McKernon Group in 1999. This classic 1918 red brick building is listed on the National and State Historic Registers. Well suited for IT or light manufacturing, the designers planned a large vaulted great room (flexible to be easily subdivided), three large offices, two conference rooms, a kitchen, and a cozy loft. The sprinkler system was upgraded; all windows were replaced; insulation was added; and a new roof was installed. The building was wired for network drops and phone jacks, with all mechanical and electrical systems concealed.
