 The
start of most construction projects begins with the foundation, and
it is
vital to have this work done correctly. The McKernon Group has
trained concrete crews that enable us to form and pour footings, foundation
walls and slabs and keep our projects on schedule.
We are a distributor of Insulating Concrete Forms (ICFs) and have
been using them to build foundations and wall systems since 1998.
ICFs are lightweight Styrofoam forms that create a cavity into which
the concrete is poured, and then stay in place to produce a highly
insulated concrete wall. The forms are similar to blocks and they
assemble like Legos®.
The versatility of ICF’s makes it ideal for a variety of uses
below or above grade. With 2 1/2" of insulation on either side of
the wall, concrete can be poured well into the winter months with
the assurance that it will cure properly, protected from the cold.
Our services are not limited to new construction. The McKernon Group
has the skill and equipment to temporarily lift buildings and perform
all necessary foundation repairs or replacements.
