Moving homes, barns and other
structures is a service that The McKernon Group has ably provided
to clients since 1987. Relocating a building to take advantage
of natural topographic features can greatly enhance a home’s
value.
 It
is an unusual sight to see an entire building on the move, especially
with chimneys intact. This is precisely what happens during one
of our home relocations. Moving a structure is a process that involves
raising and supporting each building with steel "I" beams,
rolling it off its foundation onto a carriage, and then transporting
it carefully to the desired location.
Other than taking advantage of a new location, each structure benefits
from a new foundation using insulating concrete forms. Additional
resources are available to clients when it comes to landscaping the
newly placed building.
